Gauteng aims to keep G20-style service delivery

The historic first G20 summit on African soil opened in Johannesburg, South Africa, at Nasrec, convening leaders from the world's 20 largest economies, regional blocs, and invited states to address critical global issues aimed at improving the world. Gauteng government officials coordinated comprehensive preparations, repairing infrastructure such as roads, traffic signals, and street lights while undertaking beautification projects to create a clean and welcoming environment. Spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga emphasized that the collaborative planning model accelerated service delivery and will be maintained long-term. This milestone event highlights Africa's emerging prominence in international diplomacy.
